Omara Portuondo and Eliades Ochoa are the most charismatic existing members of the world acclaimed Cuban band Buena Vista Social Club™. Portuondo and Ochoa broke new ground by performing at the White House in 2015, which marked the first time a Cuba-based musical act had played there in over five decades. The Buena Vista Social Club™ also recently concluded their 20th Anniversary Adiós Tour in Havana last month, but these two members will continue to be music ambassadors of son, mambo, montuno and cha cha cha. Both Portuondo and Ochoa embark together to select cities for a U.S. summer tour performing timeless songs. Portuondo will also celebrate her 85th birthday with an expanded fall itinerary featuring musical director Roberto Fonseca, clarinetist and saxophonist Anat Cohen, and violinist Regina Carter.
